A native of the rural Midwest, I now live with my husband and two cats in the mountains near Santa Cruz, CA.
Using various materials, I explore the relationships of people and their landscapes, both within and without. I love books, music, writing, hiking, gardening, and cooking. Memories, dreams, and the mysterious aspects of life inspire me, and I am fascinated with old things—the worn, the rusty: the beauty in the overlooked or forgotten. Hiking on long, twisting pathways with my partner, and finding new things to observe and draw, is one of my favorite ways to spend time.
